MockMaster
Last Updated: April 23, 2026
INTRODUCTION
This Privacy Policy explains how MockMaster ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our AI-powered mock interview application. By using MockMaster, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We collect only the information necessary to provide the App's core functionality and do not sell your personal data to third parties.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
MockMaster collects and processes the following types of information.
Information You Provide Directly
When you use the App, you may provide your name during the onboarding process. This name is stored locally on your device and used only to personalize your in-app experience such as greetings and session labels.
You may also provide job descriptions, role titles, and interview names when setting up a mock interview session. This content is sent to our AI backend solely for the purpose of generating relevant interview questions.
Voice and Audio Data
MockMaster requires access to your device microphone to record your spoken answers during interview sessions. Your voice is captured, processed for transcription using speech-to-text technology, and transmitted to our AI backend to generate evaluation feedback. Audio recordings are not retained on our servers after the transcription and evaluation process is complete.
Usage and Session Data
The App stores interview session data locally on your device. This includes the questions generated for each session, your transcribed answers, AI-generated result cards, session timestamps, and scores. This data is stored using your device's local storage system and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers unless it is actively being processed for an AI evaluation request.
Device Information
We do not actively collect device identifiers, operating system details, or usage analytics. However, our third-party AI backend may receive standard technical request metadata such as your IP address when processing AI requests. This is handled in accordance with the third-party provider's own privacy policies.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information described above for the following purposes.
We use your name to display a personalized greeting within the App.
We use job descriptions and role details you provide to generate tailored interview questions through our AI backend.
We use your recorded voice answers to produce a live text transcription displayed within the App during your session.
We transmit your transcribed answers to our AI backend to generate your result card, including your score, strengths, mistakes, improvements, and tips.
We store your session history locally on your device so you can review past interviews and track your progress over time.
We do not use your data for advertising, behavioral profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the App's stated functionality.
DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION
All personal data, including your name, interview sessions, questions, answers, and result cards, is stored locally on your device using the device's built-in local storage system. We do not maintain a server-side database of your personal interview history.
Data processed by our AI backend for question generation and evaluation is not retained on our servers after the response has been delivered to your device. We do not log or archive the content of your interview sessions.
If you uninstall the App or clear the App's local storage, all data stored on your device will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
MockMaster uses a third-party AI backend to power interview question generation and response evaluation. When you initiate an interview session or request evaluation, your job description inputs and transcribed answers are transmitted to this backend for processing. This backend is operated via Cloudflare Workers and connects to an AI model provider. The AI provider's own privacy policies govern how they handle data submitted through API requests.
We do not share your data with any advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics platforms.
Payments made within the App are processed entirely by Apple or Google through their respective app store platforms. We do not have access to your payment card details or billing information.
MICROPHONE PERMISSION
The App requires microphone permission to record your spoken answers during mock interview sessions. This permission is requested at the time you begin your first interview session. You may revoke microphone permission at any time through your device settings. If microphone access is denied, voice recording functionality will not be available, but you may still use other parts of the App.
Your recorded audio is used only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We do not use your microphone in the background or at any time outside of an active interview session.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
MockMaster is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, we will take steps to remove that information from our systems. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App and provided personal data, please contact us at the address below.
DATA SECURITY
We take reasonable measures to protect the information processed through the App. Data transmitted to our AI backend is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Local data stored on your device is protected by your device's built-in security mechanisms.
No method of data transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Since all personal data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You may delete your interview history and personal data at any time by clearing the App's data through your device settings or by uninstalling the App.
You may withdraw microphone permission at any time through your device's system settings.
If you have questions about data that may have been processed by our AI backend in connection with your use of the App, please contact us using the information below.
CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
